Oh my friend Wontons, A Million Little Pieces was amazing! You need to, I implore you, to pick it up :)
you know whats funny, as I was looking through the books my mom had on her book shelf, A Million Little Pieces was one of them. I forgot she was part of the Oprah Book club. Haha! But yes I’ll borrow her book and read it, thanks for the heads up. :)
As a kid, I think I was in the 3rd grade, I stumbled upon this book in the young adult section of the library. I was only use to the kid section and then one day my friend and I decided to go to the young adult section. I borrowed the book and I loved it, and this was before Harry Potter, from then on I loved reading.
I would only choose the 3rd book of the Chronicles of Narnia. Not Prince Caspian, Not Last Battle, just The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I would borrow it constantly. I really don’t know why. I guess because I felt like I got closure at the end, I didn’t want or need to know more. I was just invested in what happened to the kids: How are they gonna get out of this fantasy world? will they ever go home? Is someone gonna die?
I was comforted by the fact that all my questions were answered and I didn’t want to know more.
So this book was my first novel that I loved. There might have been other novels that I loved but the only on I can think of, especially when I think of my elementary library, was this book.
